The Pork Shop Expands to Eastern Visayas

CEBU’S NUMBER 1 LOCAL PORK RETAILER IS NOW IN NAVAL, BILIRAN.

The Pork Shop by Virginia Farms Inc. officially opens its first branch in Eastern Visayas with the grand opening of its Naval Branch on March 8, 2021.

This is the first The Pork Shop franchise in the country, with Monav Food Products Corporation, owned by Atty. Manuel Montejo Jr., as the first franchisee.

This venture would pave the way for The Pork Shop to open more branches in Eastern Visayas.

Virignia Farms Inc. President, Rolando Tambago, said there is a plan to open more branches in Eastern Visayas so the residents of the region could get access to fresh local pork from Cebu.

The Pork Shop by Virginia Farms Inc. guarantees the cleanliness and freshness of its pork which are grown from its farm in Asturias, Cebu and processed in its own slaughterhouse and meat-cutting plant.

As the franchisee, Montejo assures that they would maintain the high-quality pork of The Pork Shop from its shipment from Cebu to their own cold storage in Naval, Biliran.

According to Montejo, with The Pork Shop, consumers are assured not only of high quality, fresh meat but also affordable prices that are lower than the usual rates in the wet market.

“The Pork Shop Naval [branch] would serve [as] check sa presyo diri sa Biliran. Maka siguro mo nga naa ta’y daghang produkto nga mas barato pa sa atong wet market ug uban pang tindahan.”

Montejo said that when the time comes, they’re planning to give a feeding program for Biliran through The Pork Shop.

The Pork Shop Naval is the 52nd branch in the country, along with 47 branches in Cebu, and three branches in Iloilo City.
